“Trunks” can refer to briefs in some countries, I think, but the answer is: BRIEFS ONLY. No jammers, no square-cut aberrations, no knee-deep excesses of material that hinder our ability to exploitatively use the wearer as eye candy.
FURTHERMORE, briefs in general are not approved under Bulge Lab regulations. Briefs must not only be swim briefs; they must be competition swim briefs, as in made by Adidas, Agon, Arena, Nike, TruWest, TYR, Speedo, Turbo and the like. Anything else is so-called “fashion” but inauthentic. And moreover, thongs are not briefs, and thongs are definitely not swimwear.
Underwear can never be a legitimate swim brief. But a legitimate swim brief can always be underwear.
